The Metaverse has begun to be built, in applications that we already know or in the imagination of its creators and ours, but this is not the only way. For years now, some architects have adopted a new tool for the demonstration and construction of their projects: 3D digital modeling. With this new tool they can show places that don't exist yet, what they would look like and how they would relate to their environment. Somehow, they have been building #meta spaces for years, which will allow them to be part of those who can build the spaces where we will interact in the #Metaverse today.
We are on the threshold of this immersive digital universe, and soon it will take even more people to build it and keep innovating it. Just as virtual spaces are already being built where real versions can be explored, now the purpose and focus will be very different. Instead of creating virtual spaces that will later become real places, new spaces will be created that will only exist in the #Metaverse, and that will be specially planned to live in this space.
There are universes, such as that of Times Magazine in collaboration with #Sandbox, where the most iconic spaces in the world will be reconstructed, such as #TimesSquare. Just as it was in the other direction before, now real spaces will be adapted and built in the virtual world, where their possibilities can also be expanded. What if we could see places like the Chinese Wall or Chichen Itza as they originally were? Or, what if places that have been destroyed could exist again in the #Metaverse?
The #Metaverse, and those who build it, will also make the world we live in and its limits disappear and give way to a much richer and more complete world. We will be able to know the past, the present and the future of a place in a single space and we will be able to enjoy it in each of its stages.
The architecture of the #Metaverse can take us, on the other hand, to the spaces that we always imagine but that we have never been able to know. Would anyone like to be able to walk up and down the stairs at Hogwarts? Or visit the Moon or Mars? It does not matter if the place is fictional or real, if it was born from a person's imagination or is on the other side of the world, we can visit it without leaving our home.
But just like in the #Metaverse, the laws of time do not apply, nor do others such as gravity, stability, space or the force of nature. In places or cities like Mexico City, constructions have to be able to withstand and reduce the movements of earthquakes, which hampers the imagination of those who build. In the #Metaverse that will stay in the past, architects and creators will be able to build whatever they can imagine, regardless of whether it is stable or whether or not it supports humidity or an earthquake. The architecture of spaces will take a huge leap towards creativity and innovation. They will be able to create places where we can move in any direction, even towards the ceiling or to the sides, no longer necessarily with our feet tied to the floor.
The #Metaverse, how do we know, has arrived to forever change our world and our reality. Its construction will not be the exception, since it will forever change the way we build and move in the world. This digital universe did not come to replace our reality but to enhance it, in ways we cannot yet imagine.
